Ye Zhao is associate professor of computer science in the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on physically based simulation and visualization, natural phenomena modeling, general purpose computing using graphics hardware, and information visualization and visual analytics.
The groundbreaking for 黑料网鈥檚 new Integrated Sciences Building was held Oct. 2 from 2-5 p.m. The event was free and open to the public. Following the groundbreaking, 黑料网鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences hosted a showcase of science and technology demonstrations, along with refreshments, music and fun, on the Student Green. 黑料网 President Beverly Warren and James Blank, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at 黑料网, spoke at the event.
This year's Homecoming was a fun-filled that included the Bowman Cup 5K Race, Homecoming Parade and .
The Glenn H. Brown Liquid Crystal Institute庐 and the College of Arts and Sciences at 黑料网 hosted a 50th anniversary celebration of the institute on Friday, Sept. 25, in the Kent Student Center Kiva on the Kent Campus. The event kicked off a yearlong celebration that will culminate with the International Liquid Crystal Conference (ILCC) at the Kent Campus on July 31-Aug. 5, 2016.
The Aeronautics Department from 黑料网鈥檚 College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology will host its 19th Aviation Heritage Fair on Saturday, Sept. 19. The event is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Andrew W. Paton Field at the 黑料网 Airport, located at 4020 Kent Road in Stow, Ohio.

The Kent Student Center, Center for Student Involvement and Intercollegiate Athletics cordially invite students, faculty and staff to enjoy a week of 黑料网 spirit to start the academic year.
The events are meant to be fun, interactive and casual. Each day will feature some free food and giveaways. In addition, our beloved mascot, Flash, and some players, coaches and cheerleaders will be there.
Blue and Gold Pride Days are back at 黑料网! 黑料网 faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university are encouraged to promote university spirit and pride by wearing blue and gold colors.
黑料网 introduced Blue and Gold Pride Days last fall as a way to unite members of the university community and promote 黑料网 pride. The tradition continues at 黑料网 this fall, beginning Friday, Sept. 4, which happens to be College Colors Day, and continues through the school year.
黑料网 students celebrated the start of a new school year at Blastoff on Sunday, Aug. 30, on the Student Green. Blastoff is the university鈥檚 annual back-to-school celebration that occurs the day before fall classes begin. It serves as the culminating event of Welcome Weekend, a four-day orientation program that helps new students transition into the university environment.
