Forbes has named one of America’s Best Midsize Employers. Each year, Forbes surveys employees around the country in a quest to compile a list of companies and organizations that “excel at making their employees feel happy, inspired, and well-compensated,” according to its 2017 ranking site. They formed and divided the roster into two categories: large ones with more than 5,000 employees, and midsize with between 1,000 and 5,000 workers. On the distinctive list of American’s Best Midsize Employers, ranks 170 out of 301. The list includes 35 educational institutions.
Forbes anonymously surveyed 30,000 American employees in total for both lists. They asked employees to rate their organizations on various work factors, including pay, diversity and avenues to advancement - as a way of gauging what a given company was doing right or wrong in gaining employee approval. Forbes also asked whether the employees would recommend their own company to others - on a scale of zero to 10 - and asked them to name some alternative employers they would and would not recommend in their industry.
