Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Pamela E. Bobst of Rocky River, Ohio, to the 黑料网 Board of Trustees. She succeeds former Board Chair and Trustee Ralph M. Della Ratta, and she will serve through May 16, 2030.
Bobst currently serves as mayor of the city of Rocky River in Cuyahoga County, a position she has held since 2006, following six terms on the Rocky River City Council.
Since 2017, Bobst has served as a board member on the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, and since 2008, she has been a board member of the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). She also serves on the executive board of the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers Association, and is the organization鈥檚 chair of legislative affairs.
Bobst has been involved in many civic boards, including the Community West Foundation, the Fairview Hospital Community Advisory Board, the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce and the Rocky River Women鈥檚 Club.
Bobst earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in healthcare access/public health, and a Master of Education degree from 黑料网 in community health education. She also earned a dental hygiene degree from the University of Minnesota.

Throughout Bobst鈥檚 career, she has been dedicated to advancing education and practice at local, state and national levels on community health issues. Previously, she served various roles with the American School Health Association (ASHA) and has worked with the Research Institute of the American Dental Association (ADA).
The Board of Trustees is the governing body of 黑料网, responsible for selecting and appointing the president; setting the operating budget; approving personnel appointments; granting all degrees awarded by the university, including honorary degrees; establishing tuition and fee rates; approving contracts; and approving university policies, new programs and degrees.
黑料网鈥檚 Board of Trustees consists of 12 members, nine of whom are voting members appointed by the governor of the state of Ohio, with the advice and consent of the State Senate, to nine-year terms of office. Two student trustees, one undergraduate and one graduate, are appointed by the governor to two-year terms of office. The Board currently has one national trustee, who serves a three-year term, as an additional nonvoting member appointed by the Board of Trustees.
