This section highlights a few of the ongoing projects conducted by our faculty that will show you why we鈥檙e a national leader in brain health research. You鈥檒l have a chance to learn about new insights into reducing the risk for Alzheimer鈥檚 disease, how our brains can 鈥渢urn up our temperature鈥 to help us lose weight, important differences in the brain waves of Tibetan monks, and some others.
The ESDRI is committed to supporting research concerning both natural and built systems and advancing conversations about the complex, dynamic relationships between humanity and the environment in this new era of global human influence 鈥 the Anthropocene. In support of this mission, we鈥檝e developed opportunities and programming to build our research community.
The goal of the university鈥檚 Global Understanding Research Initiative is to foster new interdisciplinary collaborations, with a particular focus on research that spans not only disciplinary boundaries but geographic boundaries as well.
