ºÚÁÏÍø paused to honor Martin Luther King during a virtual ceremony on Jan. 21, 2021

ºÚÁÏÍø President Todd Diacon delivered the opening remarks during the university's virtual ceremony to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 

Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

ºÚÁÏÍø will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, to celebrate King’s life and legacy. Serving as this year’s keynote speaker is CNN political analyst and former South Carolina state Rep. Bakari Sellers. The virtual program is free and open to the public.

After more than a decade of service, Joel Nielsen, ºÚÁÏÍø’s director of athletics, plans to seek new challenges when his contract with the university ends later this year.
