On Monday, June 27, the 黑料网 College of Aeronautics and Engineering community welcomed Team 52, the Flying Flashes, back from the 45th Annual Air Race Classic.
Each year, more than 30 million patients receive fluid resuscitation therapies for critical care scenarios like hemorrhaging, sepsis and burns. Underdosing resuscitation strategies are inefficient at saving lives, while overdosing regimens may lead to resuscitation injuries and hypothermia. Hossein Mirinejad, assistant professor in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, is hoping to help find the solution to dosing problems.
The National Science Foundation recently awarded a two-year $198,978 grant to Tao Shen, assistant professor in the College of Aeronautics & Engineering, for the development of a compact, cable-driven serial robot that can be used in medical settings. Shen aims to build a robot with his students that will address the critical limitations that most current medical robots have.
Patrick is currently completing his last semester in his Master of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering degree. Once he graduates, he will be moving to Nevada to work at Tesla as a Control Systems Engineer, a job he was able to obtain through the network he created at KSU.

CAE: What advice do you have for current students?
BW: Enjoy your experience at 黑料网 while it lasts. It is a small amount of time that will have an impact on you for the rest of your life.
As once stated by educational Pioneer and famous American Philosopher John Dewey, all that we learn is derived from experience. 黑料网 continues to foster innovation and promote the development of hands-on learning through various collaborative efforts focused on building experience and training. Among the opportunities offered through the university, the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program provides undergraduate students with the chance to engage in an intensive research project during the summer break.
A $1.5 million gift from The Timken Foundation of Canton has allowed 黑料网 to advance the groundbreaking timeline for the expansion of the Aeronautics and Engineering Building.
黑料网 and The Red Door Films of Los Angeles announce 鈥淧lay with a Purpose,鈥 a sponsor challenge as part of the SkyHack 3.0 competition at 黑料网 to be held Nov. 5-7. Teams of students will create an interactive toy universe based on the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of World War II and their training base, Avenger Field.
