Onboarding

At 黑料网, our goal is to recruit and retain the highest quality faculty and staff. But, it doesn鈥檛 end there. The first several months are a critical time as new faculty and staff learn the culture and begin to contribute. New Employee Orientation helps all new faculty and staff become accustomed to life at 黑料网.

The following items should be completed by new employees within the first 60 days of their hire date:

New Employee Orientation

New employees are automatically enrolled in orientation upon acceptance of their new job, so no action is required of them to register. Orientation is held bi-weekly, and invitations go out shortly after their start date has been determined.

The Welcome session, held bi-weekly on Tuesdays, includes:

  • Getting started as a new employee
  • Information about university culture, strategic goals and policies
  • Resources and programs available to all employees
  • Staying connected in the university environment

The Benefits session, held bi-weekly on Wednesdays, includes benefits overview and enrollment.

Title IX and Sexual Violence Prevention for Employees (BC 1.0hr)

This course covers such crucial topics as the prevalence of these crimes on campus, why people perpetrate them, federal requirements for campuses, the power of primary prevention, sexual harassment and sexual discrimination, how to be an active bystander, Title IX and what it means, reporting obligations, trauma- informed response, campus policies and resources, and more.

SafeColleges - General Ethics in the Workplace (BC 0.5hr)

Staff members can get an overview of ethical standards at work. Common themes include describing ethical behavior with monetary practices, explaining ethical behavior with colleagues, and identifying several guidelines for appropriate ethical behavior.

Workplace Bullying: Awareness and Prevention (BC 0.5hr)

Staff members can get an overview of ethical standards at work. Common themes include describing ethical behavior with monetary practices, explaining ethical behavior with colleagues, and identifying several guidelines for appropriate ethical behavior.

Emergency Preparedness and Response Training (BC 1.0hr)

Feeling prepared during emergency situations can help people remain calm and enable them to respond more effectively. Take some time to consider how best to respond to emergencies by learning basic emergency guidelines and survival strategies in this online video training course, designed to assist you in taking necessary precautions and exercising better judgment during potential emergencies. Help yourself, and possibly others, when it can count the most by completing this Emergency Preparedness and Response Training.
