2022 BGSA Conference: Academia and Living History

Our conference keynote speaker is Dr. Felicia McGhee, head of the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga Communication Department. Dr. McGhee has 13 years of broadcasting experience including at the ABC affiliate in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she was a reporter/fill-in anchor. She has hosted 鈥淥ne-on-One with the Candidates,鈥 a 30-minute special featuring senatorial candidates, and provided political commentary for 鈥淭he News Hour with Jim Lehrer鈥 during the presidential primary. As an active community member, Dr. McGhee has served as a panelist and moderator for 鈥淢inorities in the Media鈥 and 鈥淩acial Profiling in America鈥. She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Tau and the Alpha Society.
