The is located in the city of Chester, England. Chester is on the border of Wales, surrounded by Welsh hills and mountains within a 2,000-year-old city with a beautiful river as well as a canal running through the city. Chester offers a deep history dating back to the Roman era which is still visible through the ancient ruins all over the City including a Roman Amphitheatre and the Roman Gardens. In the heart of cultural and architectural history, a 13th-century Cathedral has served worshipers since 1283 and still holds a popular service every Sunday. The University is two hours from London via train and only 30 minutes away from major cities like Liverpool and Manchester, where you will find museums, galleries and theaters. Chester train station is only a 15-minute walk from campus. This campus is a short walk from the center of Chester, where you will be able to experience the wonderful history, nightlife, and culture of the city.
The University of Chester runs all of its undergraduate courses/modules via a full year delivery system, therefore it is recommended to apply for full year programs. Courses are taught in English in areas including business, computer sciences, history, philosophy and religious studies, psychology, sports studies, and more. ISEP students are also enrolled in an Intercultural Communication course, designed specifically for exchange students which encourages students to reflect upon their personal experiences as a study abroad student and how these experiences impact their perceptions of identity, culture, and history. The University also offers opportunities to participate in an internship or service learning program.
