Current Scholars

Congratulations on being admitted to the Rising Scholars Program!

Discover what Rural Scholars can do for you!We are so happy to have you, and we look forward to making great memories! You are now enrolled in a program designed to give you real-world experience and help you meet your goals. We hope you have come ready to learn, explore, and grow!

In your school setting, there are several key things to remember to make sure you stay on track. Throughout your entire high school career, be sure to take challenging and rigorous courses. Try out new things, and discover your passions. Keep your grades and attendance up, and get involved with extracurricular activities.

As you start becoming an upperclassman, be sure to take the PSAT as a junior. This allows you to potentially qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. You should also consider taking the SAT or ACT during your junior year, so you鈥檒l have plenty of time to keep working on your scores. As an upperclassman, you may want to take College Credit Plus classes, allowing you to earn free college credit while still enrolled in high school.

If you feel overwhelmed and don鈥檛 know where to start, don鈥檛 panic! We have attached some helpful guides to get you through these processes. Also remember that your school guidance counselor is a great resource! Feel free to talk with them about anything you may be struggling with.
