August 2021 Social Media Recap

Golden Flashes, we are back! August was an exciting month full of events as we celebrated Summer 2021 commencement and kicked off the Fall 2021 Semester. Check out some of our best-performing posts from the month!

 

Instagram

The top post on Instagram this month featured an image of fireworks that lit the sky after ’s annual BlastOff event to kickoff the semester. We continued to share a lot of important information. Our top-performing post was an announcement that the university will be requiring the COVID-19 vaccine effective December 20. 

 

Another top-performing post celebrated the kickoff of the fall semester. In this image, the Class of 2025 formed a “K” for their class photo after attending Convocation.

 

Twitter

Our top tweets are actually the same as Facebook! The best-performing post on Twitter was our vaccine requirement announcement. This tweet generated more than 420 likes!

 

The Class of 2025 photo that welcomed our newest Golden Flashes also performed well!

Be sure to follow us on TikTok ! This month our top-performing video on TikTok featured Flash training for an exciting in-person semester.

As we started off the Fall 2021 semester, we welcomed many new faces to campus and got to experience a handful of in-person events. Throughout this month, we also welcomed 2,724 new followers across our platforms!
