PAC Presents Free Performance of Family Revealed

Songwriter and storyteller Reggie Harris will his present his own family story “Family Revealed – A Story of History and Hope” in a free performance at the Performing Arts Center at - Tuscarawas on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m.

Reggie Harris is an innovative guitarist, a fearlessly creative vocalist, and an engaging storyteller. A descendant of a slave and her master, Harris provides a unique, entertaining and inspiring look at what can be when we face the truth with open hearts and minds. It’s an engaging American story that started on a plantation in Ashland, VA … Hickory Hill.

Join Harris on this fascinating journey as he uses his extraordinary gifts to bring his blossoming relationship with his White cousins to life… descendants of the same ancestor… one family… in the context of a nation on the brink of change. It’s a timely and poignant modern day story of truth, reconnection and hope.

Harris has been affiliated with the John F Kennedy Center’s Partners in Education program for over two decades, offering both multimedia performances for students and communities as well as an in-depth workshop for educators at all grade levels. As a founding artist in the John F. Kennedy Center’s Changing Education Through the Arts program, Reggie is a committed teacher and advocate for lifelong learning. Reggie continues to write, tour and record new music in a career dedicated to the mission of education, inspiration and justice.
