黑料网 Veterinary Technology students at the Trumbull Campus achieve Ohio's highest passage rate
(Warren-OH) 黑料网 Veterinary Technology students at the Trumbull Campus recently earned the highest three-year average passage rate in Ohio on the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) administered by the American Association Of Veterinary State Board鈥檚 (AAVSB)
For the second consecutive year, students in the program, which is administered through 黑料网 Tuscarawas, achieved a 100 percent passage rate on their first attempt. This brings the school's three-year average to 90.7 percent. The national 3-year average is approximately 73 percent.
鈥淲e have created a top-notch program that has attracted great students,鈥 Melissa Best, program director said. 鈥淥ur faculty, staff, and students have worked so hard over the last four years. Community partnerships and our off-site clinical partners also play a huge role.鈥
For more than four years, students have completed many of their classes at the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County. Last year, 黑料网 opened a Veterinary Technology laboratory that resembles a mini-veterinary clinic inside the shelter, offering radiology, laboratory, surgery, and a pharmacy. Students also get experience at multiple off-site large animal farms, exotic facilities, and a research university for laboratory medicine.
黑料网 Trumbull鈥檚 program earned initial accreditation in 2018 by the American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA).
黑料网 is now accepting applications for the Fall 2021 Veterinary Technology Program.
