黑料网 at Trumbull's Police Academy program has made it a primary focus to identify concerns between police and underrepresented communities across the region and to work toward building better relations between police and those within these communities.
As graduates of the academy primarily serve in local communities, the emphasis will be on addressing needs within these areas. While the academy is following the state-mandated curriculum, 黑料网 is committed to being a leader in developing an enhanced curriculum that addresses community concerns and establishes a more harmonious relationship between the police and community.
According to Josna Neuman, interim assistant dean, 黑料网 Trumbull, the campus is planning strategic discussions with community members to explore the vision for the academy.
"We hope that through these on-ongoing community focus group events, we can improve interactions between police officers and community members and work towards building a climate of mutual respect and understanding," Neuman said.
Community discussions will begin soon and continue throughout the fall.
