As the wild ride of the 1960’s came to a close, Eva Hesse, a 34-year-old German-born American artist was cresting the wave of a swiftly rising career. She was one of the few women recognized as central to the New York art scene until her life was cut short by a brain tumor in May 1970. The critically-acclaimed, historical film Hidden Figures is the incredible untold story of Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson – brilliant African-American women working at NASA who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut and Ohio native John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big. Starring Taraji P. Henson, Academy Award-nominee Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae and Kevin Costner.
