Police Officer Featured in Video

Police Services Officer Tricia Knoles is featured in a video promoting a new training program for police officers in Ohio. The course, titled Blue Courage, is sponsored Police Services Officer Tricia Knoles is featured in a video promoting a new training program for police officers in Ohio.  by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Knoles was one of three law enforcement individuals from Ohio selected to appear in the video. 

The 16-hour Blue Courage training teaches officers resilience, health and positive psychology along with the nobility of policing, respecting the community and community policing. All of these topics aim to help make the individuals well-rounded officers both on the job and off.  

After reviewing the program, Police Chief and Interim Public Safety Director Dean Tondiglia saw the benefits of bringing the program to the Police Department. Knoles, who joined the police department in 2005, currently serves as the community resource officer. She was selected to become certified as a Blue Courage instructor and is currently offering the training to her colleagues.

“The Blue Courage course is beneficial to every law enforcement officer,” Knoles says. “I am honored to be a Blue Courage instructor and to represent the Police Department in the video, which was featured at the Ohio Attorney General’s conference this past fall.”
