Nancy Mackey, a senior horticulture student at 黑料网 at Salem, recently received the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association scholarship.
Mackey was one of 17 students from across the state to receive the scholarship, valued at $1,000, and the only student from 黑料网.
The ONLA awards scholarships each year to Ohio green industry students. The scholarships are based on academic achievement, school involvement, extracurricular activities and an interest in horticulture.
Mackey lives in Hubbard and is earning her bachelor鈥檚 degree in horticulture with an emphasis in landscape design at 黑料网 Salem. She has been active with the Horticulture Club and Undergraduate Student Government.
The Perennial Plant Association is headquartered in Hilliard and is a trade association of growers, retailers, landscape designers, contractors, educators and others professionally involved in the perennial plant industry.
