Through the donation of his wife’s painting and a monetary gift, Dr. Rubin helped establish the Herschel and Elsa Rubin Art Acquisition Fund on the East Liverpool campus to help continue adding works of art to its permanent collection. An art acquisition committee on campus works to coordinate policies and criteria for purchasing pieces and accepting donated and/or loaned works of art.

The inaugural show also featured two loaned works by East Liverpool artist David Blythe, provided by Dr. Marc and Cindy Hoffrichter, as well as several ceramic pieces loaned by William and Donna Gray.

The permanent collection will be displayed in the Art Gallery between exhibits of other guest artists and is open to the public by appointment. It is located on the second floor of the Mary Patterson Building on E. Fourth St. To make arrangements to visit the gallery, call 330-382-7425.
