Golden Flash Asset Management Group Brings Home Three Trophies from GAME Forum

KENT, Ohio - The Golden Flash Asset Management (GFAM) team brought home three trophies in this year’s G.A.M.E. Forum hosted virtually by Quinnipiac University. The G.A.M.E. Forum is the largest international competition for student managed funds, hosting 1500+ participants from around the world. The team brought home three trophies:

  • Second place in the Undergraduate Growth Category
  • Third place in the Undergraduate Fixed Income Category
  • Third place in the Undergraduate Small Fund Category

was the only university from Ohio to place in any category. This gives the Golden Flash Asset Management Group (GFAM) six trophies in only its fourth year of existence. The GFAM placed first in the Fixed Income Category in 2019. They added second and third place finishes in 2021. 

“We are extremely proud of our Golden Flash Asset Management Group and their three placements this year at the G.A.M.E. Forum, the most prestigious international student managed investment fund competition,” said Steven Dennis, Ph.D., Firestone Chair of Corporate Finance and chair of the Department of Finance. “It is a testament to our faculty and students who work together in a collaborative fashion here in the Department of Finance at .”

The Golden Flash Asset Management group (formerly the Student Managed Investment Fund) was established in 2017 and provides student participants the opportunity to manage more than $1 million in assets through four separate accounts, each of which exceeds $250,000. The purpose of the group, the first of its kind at , is to give students real-world experience and advance career opportunities in finance.
