Ashtabula Respiratory Therapy Program Earns Distinguished Credentialing Success Award

RTT Earns Distinguished Credentialing Success Honor for First Time

The Respiratory Therapy Technology program at at Ashtabula is among a select group of programs nationwide to be recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) in receiving the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success award.  This is the first time the program has received the honor.

“This is very exciting and a wonderful honor to receive the Distinguished Credentialing Success award,” said program director Yvonne George, M.Ed., RRT. “This is something we’ve been working toward and it’s a great recognition of the value of our program and the success of our graduates.”

Programs are selected by the CoARC Board based on criteria related to key accreditation metrics documented in the 2017 Annual Report of Current Status.   Programs were required to submit three or more years of outcomes data, hold accreditation without a progress report, document RRT credentialing success of 90% or above and meet or exceed established CoARC thresholds for credentialing success, retention on-time graduation rate and overall employer and graduate satisfaction.

A certificate of recognition will be presented during the American Association for Respiratory Care’s Summer Forum in July.
